CO Screen carbon monoxide breath monitor has been designed to enable emergency service responders to carry out a simple breath test to establish carbon monoxide levels in a subject’s blood. This product specifically designed for the testing of patients who have potentially been exposed to dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide.
When dealing with CO, time is critical. In the blood stream Carbon Monoxide has an affinity with haemoglobin some 200 times greater than Oxygen. When this happens, the blood is no longer able to carry oxygen, and this lack of oxygen causes the body’s cells and tissue to die.
The CO Screen breath monitor will give instant breath results in %COHb and PPM. Both measurements are backed up with colour traffic lights for immediate visual display.

FAQs
Is the monitor CE Marked?
Yes
Is it IEC 60601 Electrical Safety Standard Compliant?
Yes
Is the useful life of the device 2 year or 5 years?
The device has a 5 year warranty except for the electrochemical fuel cell which has an expected life of two years and is therefore excluded from the warranty. The electrochemical fuel cell works in a similar way to a battery and therefore the more you use it the shorter it’s life. The chemical is used up as it combines with the CO in the exhaled breath, which produces a current that is proportional to the CO concentration. In normal use the cell will last at least 2 years but if it is used regularly with high levels of CO, or exposed to abnormally high levels of CO, it may need to be replaced sooner.
